Dear everyone, a unique Grind Ride awaits you!
Dirty, muddy, dusty, tough, but above all fun! And yes, this time we're getting dirty as guests!!!
Grind Ride vol. 9 organized by Bonk.hr, True Bike Experience and the humanitarian association "Ljudi za ljude" from Glina.
Bonk.hr is a Zagreb creative space that combines love for bicycles, quality coffee, craft beer and generally urban, healthy and social lifestyle. Apart from the café and pub atmosphere, they also offer a shop and webshop with cycling equipment and lifestyle products, making it a place where cyclists - and those who want to become one - can find everything they need.
"People for People" is a humanitarian association that helps elderly, helpless and poor residents of Glina and surrounding areas, and our Ride will be hosted in their house and they will provide us with the support of their volunteers.
Easy (almost) 100km on - mostly - dirt terrains in the wider area around Glina!
General data:
- • Start at 9:00 AM from Ban Jelačić Square in Glina.
- • We're brewing coffee from 8:00 AM at Hrvatska ulica 28 in the courtyard. It's free and exactly the same as what you drink at Bonk! Parking is across the street
- • Helmet is mandatory. A rear red light wouldn't hurt.
- • Don't forget your ID! This is an adventure after all. Close encounters with border police are possible.
- • The route contains about 100 kilometers and almost 1000 meters of elevation gain - BE PREPARED!!!
- • Navigation devices are MANDATORY - load the route that we will soon publish within Facebook event! The group will move at a reasonable pace, but won't wait for those who can't keep up, so it would be good if you at least drag yourselves to the beer in Glina! :-)
- • We have secured a support vehicle (van) that will drive ahead of the group and be available for support. Contact for the van is Miro, 0916308266 *No real service or medical help is offered.
- • As always, some goodies (from the organizers - Bonk and True Bike Experience) will be waiting for all participants!
- • True Bike Experience has prepared for Ride participants 5 Cube Stereo Hybrid One44 (fully, 800Wh battery) that are free to ride on the Ride, on a "first come, first serve" basis (express interest in the registration email)
- • Food, lunch after the ride (also in the courtyard of the association house "Ljudi za ljude") is provided for all participants and will be free (like coffee)! Lunch is a gift - True Bike Experience for your company!
- • Of course, a tap with Nova Runda isotonics awaits you at the finish. However, you'll have to pay for those electrolytes.
